The Makka Madina History | How Did Makkah Come In Islam

Obligation of Hajj:

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,  Death by becoming a Jew or a Christian and this is because Allah Almighty has said that Hajj to the House of Allah is obligatory for those who can afford it (Jami 'al-Tirmidhi, Ma'arif al-Hadith).

Blessings of Hajj and Umrah:

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:  The dirt removes the dirt and the reward of Hajj Mabroor is only Paradise (Jami Tirmidhi, Sunan Nisa'i, Ma'arif Al-Hadith).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that those who go for Hajj and 'Umrah are special guests of Allaah.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Every day Allaah sends down 120 blessings for His pilgrims, of which 60 blessings are for those who circumambulate the House of Allaah and 40 blessings are for those who pray there.  And twenty blessings for those who only look at the Ka'bah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also said that after circumambulating the House of Allaah fifty times, he was cleansed of his sins as if his mother had given birth to him today (Tirmidhi).

Attending Arafat is the Hajj:

It is narrated on the authority of 'Abd al-Rahman ibn' Umar al-Dili that I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say:  In the middle of the night of Nawawardas Zul-Hijjah (also in the morning from Sadiq).
Arriving at Arafat first, he performed Hajj and his Hajj was completed.  If a person leaves Rami only on two days, that is, on the eleventh and twelfth of Dhul-Hijjah, then there is no sin or blame on him. Both things are permissible (Jami 'al-Tirmidhi and Sunan Abu Dawood).

Arafat's status:

It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:  Behold, they have come to me from afar, having disheveled hair and a dusty body and burning in the sun. I bear witness that I have forgiven them.

Meeqat:

Meeqat means the place from which people are commanded to enter ihram. Every country has its own meeqat.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) appointed Dhu'l-Halifah as the meeqat of the people of Madinah and Jahfa as the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil as the people of Najd,  The places themselves are meeqat for their occupants and for all those people who have come from other areas to those places who intend to perform Hajj or age, then those who live in these places should enter ihram from their homes.  And this rule will continue until the people of Makkah in particular enter ihram from Makkah (Sahih Muslim, Ma'arif al-Hadith).

Ihram clothing:

There are only two sheets for men in ihram. One is tied in an apron and the other is put on the body.

Women are commanded to keep their mouths open, but this does not mean that they should keep their faces completely open in front of strangers, but when they encounter strangers, they should cover them with their veil or something else.

In Sunan Abi Dawood, it is narrated from Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we women were in ihram with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) on Hajj (so we did not cover our faces because of ihraam) when men passed in front of us  She would hang her sheets over her head and then when the men moved forward she would open her face.  (معارف الحدیث)

Ghusl before ihram:

Hazrat Zayd ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taking off his clothes and doing ghusl to enter ihram.  Tirmidhi, Ma'arif al-Hadith).

Fragrant before ihram:

According to a saheeh hadeeth, it is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that he used to apply perfume before entering ihraam.
And it is narrated that when the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) intended to enter ihram, he would apply the best fragrance that could be provided.
But when it becomes mahram, then it is forbidden to use perfume.  Has kept (Zad-ul-Ma'ad).

Talbiyah:

It is narrated on the authority of Khalid ibn Sa'ib that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to me and he commanded me from Allaah to command my companions to recite the talbiyyah aloud.  These are the words:

لبیک اللہم لبیک ، لبیک لا شرک لک لبیک ، ان الحمد والنعمة لک والملک
