The Importance Of Faith (IMAN) In Islam

The topic we are going to talk about today is the most important and first pillar of faith in Islam which will also talk about Islam and faith and benevolence. So let's start with the following statement.

Faith and kindness:

Now we will make a hadith which is also called the hadith of Gabriel (peace be upon him) which is also long.

So it is narrated from Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RA) that one day we were in the service of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) (at that time the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was addressing a large gathering of the Companions) that suddenly a person appeared in front of him. Appeared from the man whose clothes were very white and whose hair was very black and no effect of travel was known on that person (who thought that there was no outsider) and at the same time it was said that one of us No one recognized the newcomer, so he passed through the audience until he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and sat on his knees in such a way that his knees joined the knees of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He placed his hands on the knees of the Holy Prophet and said:
O Muhammad, tell me what is Islam? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Islam is that you bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is His Messenger and establish prayer and pay Zakat and Fast in the month of Ramadan and perform Hajj to the House of Allah if you can afford it.

The narrator of the hadith, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that we were surprised that this person also asks and then confirms himself. He said, "Faith is that you know the truth about Allah and His angels and His messengers and His books and the last day, ie the Day of Resurrection and the destiny of every good and evil." He said, "Then tell me, what is Ihsan?" You cannot see Him, but He sees you.

He said, "Tell me, when will the Hour come?" He said, "A slave girl will give birth to her master and mistress, and you will see that those who have no shoes on their feet and no clothes on their bodies, and those who graze their hands and goats are great." They will start building big buildings and try to spread the word in it.

Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: After saying these words, the newcomer left. After a while, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said to me: O Omar! Do Allah and His Messenger know best? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: It was Gabriel (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who came to you to teach you your religion.

Faith is the name of affirming all aspects of religion:

It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Religion is a combination of five things, none of which is acceptable without the other. Muhammad is His slave and Messenger and believing in Allah Almighty and His angels, books, His Messenger and Paradise and Hell and that resurrection after death is one thing and five prayers is the pillar of Islam without Allah Almighty Faith will not accept either.

Without zakat, Allah will not accept faith and prayer. Then whoever has performed these rites and the month of Ramadan has come and he has not intentionally fasted in it without any excuse, then Allah will not accept his faith nor prayer. The one who pays zakat and the one who pays these four rak'ahs, then he has to perform Hajj, then he has not performed Hajj himself, and no one else has performed Hajj on his behalf, then his faith is Zakat prayer and fasting. Nothing is accepted. Not being accepted means that if a member of Islam is negligent, the rest of his deeds will not be enough to get rid of Hell immediately.
