Prayer: The Virtue Of Prayer: Prayer Times

"The topic we will discuss today is the most important element of Islam, prayer"

The virtue of Prayer:

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The first thing to be asked of a servant is prayer. (Tabarani, Hayat-ul-Muslimeen)

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ibadah bin Samit that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The five daily prayers are prescribed by Allaah who performed ablution for them and recited them at the right time and bowed down. Do what you are supposed to do and pay them with the attribute of humility. For such a person, Allah has promised that He will forgive him and he who has not done so (and he neglected the prayer). There is no promise of Allah for him. He will forgive him if He wills and punish him if He wills.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) has quoted the saying of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that Islam is based on five pillars. There is no one worthy of worship except Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who is the slave and Messenger of Allaah.

Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out in the cold season and the leaves were falling from the trees. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: O Abu Dharr, when a Muslim prays to Allaah with sincerity, his sins fall from it as if these leaves are falling from a tree. (Musnad Ahmad)

Prayer times:

Allaah has enjoined upon us the five daily prayers, day and night, which we are obliged to perform. Yes, there is no sin in reaping the reward of their payment.

"Now there are five time worshipers. Their names and times are as follows"

  • Fajr Prayer:

The first obligatory prayer is the Fajr prayer, which is performed in the morning. Some people pray in the dark, while others can pray when it is well lit. It is better to read and the last time of Fajr is the rising of the sun.

  • Zuhr Prayer:

The second harvest is the Zuhr prayer, and its time begins as soon as the sun sets, and when the sun is well and fully illuminated, then it is the last time of Zuhr, and in summer, the Zuhr prayer is delayed, in the cold time. You can also read by doing.

  • Asr Prayer:

One has to perform Asr prayers. When the sun is very high and well lit, then the time for Zuhr prayers ends and the time for Asr prayers begins and its Makrooh time begins when the sun sets. It's getting late.

  • Maghrib Prayer:

The fourth duty is the Maghrib prayer, and its time begins as soon as the sun sets, and it is the last time of Maghrib when the stars rise, when it ends after the stars have risen.

  • Isha Prayer:

The fifth duty is the Isha prayer and its time starts from night and he can pray all night at any time as he wants because it is obligatory for men to offer congregational prayers and women offer prayers in their homes and if men have any excuse If he could not join the congregation because of this, then he can offer prayers at any time.

Rak'ats of every Prayer:

"The rak'ahs of these Prayers are as follows"

  • There are four rak'ahs of Fajr Prayer

  • There are ten rak'ats of Zuhr, first four Sunnahs then four obligatory and then two Sunnahs and finally two Nafl.

  • There are only four duties of Asr and those are the four duties.

  • There are five rak'ats of Maghrib, first three obligatory and then two sunnahs and after Maghrib prayers there are also six rak'ats of Nafl which is also called Awabeen prayers.

  • There are nine verses of Isha, first four duties, then two sunnahs, then three witr and after office, if he also recites Nafl, then there is no harm, but there is immense reward for it.

Prohibition of delay in Prayer:

One is that a person delays the prayers due to some excuse, that is, he performs the prayers late, and another is that a person deliberately delays the prayers without any excuse, as a prohibition for such people. Do the following hadith.

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: Ali, there are three things which should never be delayed.

Prayer when the time comes.

And the funeral when he's ready.

Unmarried woman when a suitable pair is found for her. (Jami 'al-Tirmidhi)

Tolerance in Prayer:

Hazrat Abu Dharr Ghaffari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said to me: What will happen to you when such (wrongdoers and God-fearing) people will rule over you who will make the prayer dead and soulless? The prayers of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) will be soulless due to lack of humility and etiquette. Or they will perform the prayers after their proper time. What should I do in that case? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Perform your prayers when the time comes. Gi (Knowledge of Hadith, Sahih Muslim)

And that is why today's rulers are unaware of prayers, they are oblivious to their religion and the hereafter, and they chase after worldly affairs and politics, and today, because of their negligence, they are oblivious to their religion and the world and the hereafter. I am not aware of my prayers or of my religion.

Waiting for one Prayer after another:

That is, after performing one prayer, sitting on the prayer mat and waiting for the time of the second prayer has become a great virtue in his hadith.

So it is narrated in the hadeeth that once after Maghrib prayers some people were waiting for Isha prayer when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came and he walked so fast that his breath became inflamed. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: O people! Rejoice!

"Look, Muslims! When such a great virtue has been mentioned in waiting for the second prayer after one prayer, what a great virtue it will be for the one who performs the five daily prayers in a good way. Alas, people are still oblivious to these virtues. Are and enjoy worldly affairs"

Prayer times are forbidden:

"There are some times in which it is not permissible to offer Prayers"

Hazrat Aqaba ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade him to offer prayers at three times and also gave him permission to offer his funeral prayers by burying the dead at different times.

  • At sunrise

  • In the fall

  • At sunset (Muslim)

The time of sunrise also includes the time of Fajr, that is, when the time of Fajr enters, it is not permissible to perform Nafl before the Fajr prayer and after the Fajr prayer until the sun has risen.

Promise and rebuke on leaving Prayer:

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has said that a person who makes up the prayers as if he were to perform it later, even if he does not perform it on time, because of not performing it on time, he will be burnt in Hell. And one year will be equal to three hundred and sixty days and one day of resurrection will be equal to one thousand years.

It is narrated on the authority of Nawfal bin Mu'awiyah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever misses a single prayer, it is as if his family and wealth have been taken away.”

"May Allah Almighty help us to perform the Prayers at their own times and in the right way only by His grace and grace"
